Sitting in my favorite chair wondering why I ain't tasted success. I've waited and I've baited but I ain't caught nothing yet. I'm getting the notion this is harder than I originally thought. Then a character from a movie speaks to me, It's Blake from Glengarry Glen Ross. You gotta close. You can wait all day but the only thing you'll catch is your death. Even if you miss the starting gun, it's not to late, go ahead and run, You gotta taste that success! You gotta close. You start to close, moving up, yeah you're feeling satisfied. But only for a minute, cause then you start to look up high. You keep on closing, no sleep, no time to give. You close so much you done forgot how to live. You gotta close. You gotta close, Then you got to close again, And again, it never ends. AGAIN! Is it worth it? I don't know. But get off the fence, go big or go home.

Life Goes On 02:41
You're down in your like feel like a sitting duck. You didn't know you could feel this much suck. Everything's rot, you don't give a thought To happiness you just know it's what you're not. You can't, you don't even want to go on. Nobody will miss you when you are gone. Take everything, there is nothing left. Lately life has just been such a great mess. The first thing to fix is inside your head, everything else will follow. Even though it hurts like hell today, it might be funny tomorrow. So smile through the sad, don't feel like you've been had. Self-pity is weak, you're strong. And even after the darkest night, oh yeah life goes on. You're pregnant you're lonely you're kind of a jerk. You're lazy you're gonna get fired from work. Your brother asked you to borrow money. You obliged just because he's family. There's a hit on your head for the same price you lent. You'd run but that's something your house arrest prevents. Actually, you sound a little screwed. Try to enjoy the time you have. Especially with so little left, why waste it feeling mad? So booby-trap your home, talk to friends on the phone, keep an eye on your front lawn, Cause at least until a gangster shoots you in the head, oh yeah life goes on. Oh, life goes on! Even if you're poor! Even if you're sick! Even if you're a loser! Even if you're dying! Even if you're dead! Well... maybe not if you're dead, but you're not gonna worry about it once you are, so why worry about it now, you know?

Ham Sandwich 02:59
There's nothing I can't say. You'll love me anyway. I know you do, I love you too. It's quite okay. I'm the only reason any man does anything. You think, you want, you need. You're getting hungry. You know it's what you crave. It's time for you to change. Ham sandwich! Ham sandwich! Ham sandwich! Ham sandwich! Don't fight your wiring. Ham sandwich's hiring. You work all day, You never play, You're tiring. But in the end it's worth all the admiring. You think, you want, you need. You're getting hungry. You know it's what you crave. It's time for you to change. Ham sandwich! Ham sandwich! Ham sandwich! Ham sandwich! You think, you want, you need. You're getting hungry. You know it's what you crave. It's time for you to change. Ham sandwich! Ham sandwich! Ham sandwich! Ham sandwich!

I'm tired of people telling me how to live my life, it's like, Go push someone else around, cause I ain't your fucking wife! I'm a grown-ass man, making well-informed decisions, And you're five-hundred miles away, sitting and bitching. "Mykal, you drank a beer? You're an alcoholic." No I ain't. "You're in denial, I'll show you how to solve it, "I'ma take you to the ghetto, shit street, the slums, "And show you how drinking a beer will wreck your life, make you a bum." I'm twenty-one years old. I'm in the prime of my life. If I wanna be a little reckless, that's my fucking right. What were you doing at my age? Oh yeah, getting knocked up By some loser who was always strung out on drugs. Look, you're family. I love you. Just give me some space, I wanna make mistakes. But enough, let's change the pace. Once there was a kid, he couldn't fall asleep So he got up and took a walk through the empty city streets. Now kids, you should never walk alone at night. Something this kid learned when he saw a terrible sight: A man butchered in an alley for some money for liquor. The kid turned to run, but the assassin was quicker. A chloroform-soaked rag, waking up in a shed, The man with the phone and the gun turned and said, "See this address here? Get your mom to go there." "How am I gonna do that?" "Man, I don't fucking care." Kid calls her up, "Mom, I was spending the night "With my friend at this address but we got in a fight." She scolds for a while and says, "Too bad, I'm out of gas." Tearing up the kid screams, "I hate you lazy ass, "I'll fucking walk home!" Then just hangs up. The kid gets killed, the mom borrows the neighbor's truck. Last thing through her head is her son, then a bullet. Her credit cards fund the liquor the man funnels down his gullet. I wanna be famous. It's my life's aspiration. I got the skill but need someone with flatuation Coming out their mouth with every word they speak To tell me what I already know: I got what they need To go big. Make them some money and a little for me, It's bullshit that I need some talentless leech To get me recognized if I ever wanna reach my dream, And I do! It's the only career for me that I see. I wanna entertain you. Is that too much to ask? It's what I'm good at, what I most enjoy, but alas, It's unrealistic, so say people with normal callings, tooting their horns, Not understanding I can't change the mentality with which I'm born. You work a job you love and you'll never work a day, But if what I love is figuratively so far away That I can only pray that skill and luck will put me on top, Should I settle for a cubicle or blue collar job? Dreading every day of work, secretly holding a wish that I'da chased my dreams no matter how unrealistic. I wanna be a star, where do I go to apply? I wanna go far, but I don't even no how to try So I sit on my couch, seething with unhealthy jealousy, Watching vapid Kardashians and Hiltons until I see That making it is lucky, talented or not, It's just waiting for the right time in the right spot. Can't keep my feet on the ground cause I was born to fly, And make it or not, I'll flap my wings till the day I day. It's a blessing or a curse, all this talent I'm born with. Guess I won't know till I'm older and my life starts to form if My youth was the story of wasted potential or the rise of a star, It seems the former with familial pressures to stray from bars, Go to college, start a 9-5 life, but then I'll die wondering just what mighta been.

Welcome babe, to this strange new world! Endless possiblities as your life unfurls, Thousands of branching paths, leading to thousands more, So many unburnt bridges, so many open doors. If you're lucky and spawn in civilized land, There's so much you need to feel first-hand. Your first love, then your first goodbye, To cry through the lows and laugh through the highs. To feel how intense you hate your mom and dad, Then rebound and realize what you've always had. To find fifty dollars just lying on the ground, To have your dog get lost and taken to the pound. You've so much to see, seek out your own bliss. The world is your playground, possibilities endless. But when you grow up, you're overwhelmed with confusion, As slowly but surely you become disillusioned. GOOOOOOOOOOOO GET THAT JOB, GET THAT CAR, DON'T SLOW DOWN, RUN REAL REAL FAR! NO TIME FOR PLAY, NO TIME FOR FUNNY, MAKE THAT MONEY, MAKE THAT MONEY! ALIMONY, CHILD SUPPORT, COURT COSTS, TAXES FOR BEING POOR, NO TIME FOR PLAY, NO TIME FOR FUNNY, MAKE THAT MONEY, MAKE THAT MONEY! The only serenity you will find Is that which you can make inside of your mind. Love is fleeting, reckless, and also blind. Only your mind will stand the test of time. (repeated)

Chim chimney, chim chimney, chim chim cher-ee, A sweep is as lucky as lucky can be. Chim chimney, chim chimney, chim chim cher-oo, Good luck will rub off when I shake hands with you. Or blow me a kiss, and that's lucky too! Now as the ladder of life has been strung, You may think a sweep's on the bottom most rung. Though I spend me time in the ashes and smoke, In this whole wide world there's no happier bloke. Chim chimney, chim chimney, chim chim cher-ee, A sweep is as lucky as lucky can be. Chim chimney, chim chimney, chim chim cher-oo, Good luck will rub off when I shake hands with you! Chim chimney, chim chimney, chim chim cher-ee, A sweep is as lucky as lucky can be. Chim chimney, chim chimney, chim chim cher-oo, Good luck will rub off when I shake hands with you!
